Never seen anything like this – a Catholic Cathedral within a Mosque.

October 22, 2011

We’ve just returned from an unlikely tourist attraction in Cordoba where you vist a mosque and a cathedral at the same time. Just the place for those of us who are not completely certain who the best God is and which is the most direct route to heaven.
Seville tomorrow and then back to Madrid for some last tastes of tapas.
What we’re loving about this itinerary is the variety of destinations and the variety of accommodation. For instance, here in Cordoba we booked in an apartments complex and it’s brought us to a more affluent suburban setting and a good contrast to the other inner city accommodation of the hotel bookings. Good on you Janine; she specialises in putting together these itineraries.

There’s a conference at Whitely College Melbourne in Jan 2012 on “De-colonizing God”. Same God and nobody has the monopoly. So I liked the description of Christian and Muslim church space.
Lost contact with the blog for a while so happily catching up on reading. Joan Clarke
