The way it’s been in Egypt for centuries.

March 29, 2012

What we envisaged to be another long bus trip from Aswan back to Luxor turns out to be a fascinating revelation of the Nile farming villages and a way of life that hasn’t changed for centuries. The same dwellings, the same farming, the same Nile. No change here. These people haven’t got a clue why those demonstrators in Tahrir Square might want to change any of this. Isn’t this the way it’s always been and always will be?
