Which would you choose – the business class flight or the stopover in Dubai??

May 4, 2013

imageimageimageimageimageYes, we know that to get us half-way around the world from Australia we would prefer it to be on business class flights as well as refreshing stopovers in Dubai or Singapore or Hawaii.
But, if there was a limit on the budget, would you take the business class flight or a two-night Dubai stopover??
We just experienced the latter at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel Dubai as part of an Emirates Airlines Stopover Package with 24 hour check-in. It’s very close to the airport but you don’t hear the planes.
After our 14 hour flight from Melbourne we now feel revived, refreshed and pampered, more than ready for that next leg into Paris tomorrow. After we checked in to our top floor room we headed straight for the swimming pool. The revival had started. Last night was a highlight as we mellowed into a happy hour on the 8th floor swimming pool terrace, taking in the panoramic views dominated by the Burj Khalifa and a stunning sunset.
A highly recommended option.

Have you left already? I thought you were leaving on 6/05. Anyway, bon voyage and thanks for reminding me what a great time I had in Dubai last year!

Jan you look relaxed and ready for that swimming pool. Tell Alex that bombers won but were losing by 6 goals at half time to GWS. Got back in the second half kicking 14 goals.
Hope that you are both enjoying your trip so far.

    • Thanks for the quick feedback Stan & Sonja. We’re now in our Paris hotel, near the Arc de Triomphe. So check out some of our future blogs. Cheers, Alex.

  3. Hi Alex,
Taking the stopover is a great option, however getting upgraded to Business Class on the next leg is a real bonus.
I guess it’s hotter in Dubai now than it was last February.

    • Bruce. Yes, that sounds irresistible as well. I may start a survey. Have just arrived in Paris, so we’ll post some photos in the next couple of days. Cheers, Alex.
