I know that I shouldn’t be saying this, but…

May 11, 2013

imageimageimageimageimageimageimageI know that I shouldn’t be saying this, but I think that I may just have come back from the best tourist activity I’ve ever experienced in any of my travels.
Our cooking class started off for six of us this morning when our chef/teacher quickly whisked us off to a small market in the Latin Quarter. Together we decided on our menu, then shopped accordingly as our leader filled our shopping bags with fresh produce.
We caught the Metro 3 stops down to the kitchen/dining room where they had a welcoming coffee ready for us.
We teamed up to prepare our three course meal. Our chef imparted much more than instructions – he was a good teacher, cooking tips came thick and fast and all delivered with a very good sense of humour and personality.
And what reward at the end of this! We sat down to eat our freshly- prepared meal with good wine in a second floor dining room overlooking the Seine and could hear the bells at Notre Dame a few hundred metres up the road.
Most highly recommended.

It’s still breakfast time here and I’ve had a light breaky – going for a bike ride when the fog lifts. My mouth is watering after seeing the cheeses and beautiful fish!

  2. Looks like you having the best time! Say hello to Trish, Pete and Granny for me. Lots of love from across the world, Jam xx
