Couldn’t you please rewind the last few days and replay them in slow motion?

imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageSo many good things have whirred past us in the past 48 hours that I would just love it if we could replay some of them, preferably in slow motion. No chance, of course, and this blog and pictures are going to have to help the memory bank. For instance, we had a series of farewell dinners where the chefs’ aims seemed to be to somehow surpass the superb culinary heights we had been reaching all along. The last few days also presented us a series of contrasting worlds. The repressive communist regimes and the brutality of concentration camps came into focus. But so did the undisputed beauty of Budapest and Prague and the inspiration of their composers and their music. I’m going to blame the next few sleepless nights on my attempt to replay all of this in my head so that I can capture the memories somehow.

It looks like the journey is coming to an end – I enjoyed the travelogue and could almost taste the food in the photos. Speak to you when you get home.
